| Description | The main purpose of this ministry is to provide prayer support for all church members. It may be expanded to include regular contact with members. |
To begin, an intercessor prays regularly for the church members, between 1/2 hour and 2 hours per week. The intercessor will work with the requests produced by the Prayer Wheel, and with the weekly listing (for Holy Redeemer and our Sister Parish) in the Prayer Insert. Prayers might be offered for protection, direction, blessings from God, good health, more frequent attendance at church, deeper commitment ot Christ, and a desire to pray.
In the future this ministry might be expanded to include sending a letter to every person or family (within Holy Redeemer) prayed for. The letter will include a note of appreciation for being part of the church community, These letters are designed to bring inactive members back to church and to encourage greater involvement from others.
